Tomatin - French Oak Highland Single Malt Scotch 2006 12 year old Whisky (UK Exclusive) A brand new Single cask release, exclusively for the UK, from Tomatin. This 2006 vintage whisky was matured in ex - Bourbon barrels before an 8 year (!) finishing period in French oak. Bottled at 46%, as a 12 year old single malt, this is one of only 721 bottles.Nose - Initial bonfire toffee, which quickly softens to notes of baked apple pie and aromatic spices; nutmeg and clove. In time, savoury granola emerges with tones of chocolate, walnut and banana.Palate - Full of rich malty flavours resembling Christmas pudding and shortbread. Caramel, plum jam and marzipan help infuse a delicate sweetness.Finish - A long, pleasant and dry finish with hints of coffee and spice
