This single malt whisky has been matured in American oak casks, subtly enhanced by the inclusion of European oak, creating a harmonious and refined character.Its aesthetic draws inspiration from the pale, chalky landscapes of Jerez de la Frontera, featuring tones of lemon yellow, soft white, “albero” and “teja”, accompanied by a branch from a sherry grape vine.Renowned artist and graphic designer David Carson collaborated with The Macallan for The Colour Collection, using the region’s distinctive albariza soil as a creative medium—applying it to paper as if it were paint. Alongside the 12 Years Old expression stands Easter Elchies House, a symbol of The Macallan’s spiritual home in Speyside, Scotland.Nose: Sweet oak, lemon peel, vanilla biscuits and pearPalate: Syrup sponge, citrus curd, orchard fruits and a touch of nutmegFinish: Medium length with sweet oak and citrus peel
