Blasted by rich, sweet and spicy Spanish Sherry casks, it has emerged as a fiery, explosive, heavy hitting dram that has even turned the Smokehead skull red.Aromas of thick peat lets you know you've got a serious Islay Single Malt on your hands. Then a fruitier, creamier note - soft rich oak, custard and vanilla. Tie yourself down and wait for the hit of oily black smoke, with a rich, heavy mouthcoating peaty feel. The along comes a sweet sticky flavour of barbecued banana, tangy sultanas and dried fruits.The peat returns on the finish, along with some authentic Spanish Sherry oakiness with it, of which is pleasingly sweet. Finally on last sharp salty reminder that you're not dealy with the ordinary.
