GlenAllachie - Single Cask #804970 - Pedro Ximenez Cask 2009 13 year old Whisky This is the eighth batch of single casks specially selected for the UK, each demonstrating the unique interaction of the wood, sprit, and subsequent flavour extension. Famed for his Sherry cask maturation epertise, Billy selected this exceptional Pedro Ximenez hogshead to be bottled. The smaller the size of this cask has injected an intense depth of both colour and flavour to Glenallachies honeyed spirit, offering up a palate abundant with dark chocolate shavings, rich butterscotch and hints of sweet spices. The resulting malt delivers a sophisticated drinking experience with a velvety texture, making for a truly indulgent expression. Tasting Notes: Colour: Polished bronze Nose: Notes of baking spices, chocolate and heather honey, with citrus, ginger and truffle oil. Taste: Bursting with chocolate buttercream, plum jam and treacle followed by crystalised ginger, bananas and cinnamon, with caramel on the finish. Think 25: Please be prepared to show ID when receiving alcohol deliveries.
