GlenAllachie - Meikle Toir - The Turbo 2024 Release Single Malt Scotch 5 year old Whisky This heavily peated single malt from Glenallachie takes ‘the heart of the heart’ of the distillate – the spirit cut which contains the highest phenol content. Deploying mainland peat and a lengthy fermentation period, the whisky boasts full-bodied character. The 2024 Release is a combination of five American virgin oak casks and four Oloroso hogsheads. The result is a multifaceted whisky with a powerful punch of peat, hitting a hefty 70 PPM. ‘The Turbo’ entails an amplified smoky identity. Nose: Smoked blood orange, cinnamon spice and manuka honey, with bursts of rich dark chocolate and roasted hazelnuts. Taste: Worn leather, baking spices and cigar box, followed by honey, hazelnuts and dried red berries, with burnt orange peel and salted caramel. Think 25: Please be prepared to show ID when receiving alcohol deliveries.
