Description
A gorgeous wall plaque depicting a colourful kingfisher resting on a branch in the trees.This tile is felt backed and has a hook and a stand, allowing you to choose between hanging it from the wall or displaying it as an ornament.Each piece is hand-crafted by specially trained artists. The pieces are painted by hand and fired at 1,000°C for 22 hours.Please note: Due to hand-made nature unique variations should be expected. The construction of the clay and the paint/glaze material are very different and the varying temperatures cause minute amounts of shrinkage and expansion. This contributes to movement in these elements which results in "crazing". Crazing can happen at different stages of the tile's life, ranging from hours after being fired to months or years later. Master craftspeople consider this type of product to be alive and liken crazing to tiles as wrinkles are to people.
