Place down items in the washing machine and run a full cycle on a low or delicate setting. Down Proof Application: After washing, use Nikwax Down Proof to restore the water repellency. Add 100ml of Nikwax Down Proof to the washing machine and run another full cycle on a low setting. Drying: Tumble dry on a low heat setting. Add clean tennis balls to help fluff the down. Where to Use: Suitable for hydrophobic and regular down clothing, sleeping bags, and other down-filled gear. Ideal for outdoor garments like jackets, and for camping gear like down sleeping bags. When to Apply: Apply when the down gear has lost its water repellency or appears dirty. Use periodically depending on the frequency of outdoor exposure and washing, typically every 6-12 months. Cautions: Follow garment manufacturer's care instructions before washing. Ensure your washing machine is clean of any detergent residue, as it may affect the down. Do not dry on high heat; always tumble dry on a low setting to avoid damage. Avoid using fabric softeners, as they can reduce the effectiveness of the treatment.
