For newly filled spas, administer an initial shock or start-up dose of chlorine at 50 mg/l (ppm) for 1 hour or 20 mg/l (ppm) for 2 hours.3. To apply the product, ensure that pool or spa temperatures are above 20 degrees C. For lower temperatures, pre-dissolve the granules in a clean plastic container at a maximum rate of 10g per 0.2 gallons (1ltr) of water. Thoroughly mix to dissolve completely and add the solution to the pool or spa while the pumps are operational.4. Repeat dosing as needed to reach the desired chlorine levels.5. Stir well to ensure product is fully dissolved. Add the resulting solution to the spa or pool whilst the pumps are turned ‘on’.4.
