This jigsaw puzzle features a group of skilled women machining parts in a wartime factory.This beautiful piece of art, titled Ruby Loftus Screwing a Breech Ring was painted in 1943 by Dame Laura Knight, an English artist who was one of the most successful painters in Britain. During her successful career, she paved the way for female artists in what was a male-dominated industry.Imagery from the war, led by “Rosie The Riveter†on J Howard Miller’s iconic “We Can Do It!†Poster, was pivotal to the Feminist movement, as such we have released this jigsaw in celebration of International Women’s Day on 8 th March.
