Description

The VGB100 is an all-inclusive capture card and video editor for VHS, DVD and other RCA devices. As of 2025 we have passed the date of the deterioration of VHS tapes being unavoidable for ALL VHS tapes ever made. Digitisation is vital.
Convert old footage from VHS, camcorder and other RCA (That's the red, white and yellow cables) devices direct to your modern PC or laptop via USB 2.0 port with this capture card.
Record your VHS from an old VCR, and create a digital version of it on your computer. The included Honestech VHS to DVD software can go one step further, putting that file onto a DVD or CD!
  • Step 1: Plug in and install the VGB100 on your Windows PC via a USB port.
  • Step 2: Connect the RCA or S-Video cables from your VHS player, games console, DVD player or camcorder into the VGB100 (Keep it plugged into the computer, too!)
  • Step 3: Run the Honestech software (Licence is included with purchase) and set the desired recording parameters
  • Step 4: Press record and wait for the tape to finish digitising (Maybe make a cuppa)
  • Step 5: If you like, proceed to the next step to put the VHS tape footage onto a DVD. Or, just keep the digital file as it is to share on Facebook, YouTube, or just store on your PC safely.

    • The VGB100 supports multiple Video Standards which can be selected inside the app to match PAL, NTSC or SECAM.
    Please note that camcorders may need the original S-Video cable adapter that came with the camcorder. The VGB100 can receive only RCA and S-Video footage, so some devices may need their proprietary adapter from their manufacturer.
    Designed for Windows 10, there are extra steps required to use VGB100 on Windows 11 which our online guide and UK customer service team can help with.
