Description

Unwins Rocket Wildfire Seeds produce deep green spicy rocket leaves with a serrated edge. This quick cropping salad leaf can be sown outdoors between March and October and harvested between May and November.

Sowing
Sow seeds thinly in a shallow, pre-watered row and cover lightly with soil. Keep soil moist, as dry conditions can impair germination. Small sowings every three weeks will ensure a continuous supply. Allow 20 cm between rows.

Thinning / Growing On
Thin seedlings to about 15 cm apart when large enough to handle, ensuring the remaining seedlings are still firm in the soil.

Aftercare / Advice
Water plants generously during dry weather. Pick leaves when large enough to use; frequent picking encourages a longer cropping period. This variety has a rich, peppery flavour, deep green serrated leaves, is quick-cropping, suitable for container growing, and works well in salads and pasta dishes.
