The structure of bulb fibre is very open and draining, which prevents the bulbs from rotting. This is how it differs from multifunctional compost. Since bulbs don't need nutrients if they are only being grown temporarily in pots, bulb fibre contains little to no nutrition.
The difference between bulb fibre and multipurpose compost is that bulb fibre has a very open and draining structure so the bulbs don't rot.We have added charcoal to our recipe as it has numerous advantages such as decreasing nutrient leaching, improving the water holding capacity of the compost and the regulation of the pH levels.Our bulb compost soil is absorbs more water which it’s able to retain and slowly releases when the plant needs it.
