Evolution Aqua K1 Bio Filter Media is designed for use in both mechanical and biological filtration systems, providing a highly efficient solution for pond filtration.Engineered in a unique wheel shape with slight neutral buoyancy, K1 media moves freely within the filter, ensuring continuous circulation with minimal water flow. This movement not only enhances filtration efficiency but also prevents clogging.The media offers an extensive active surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize, significantly improving the breakdown of harmful ammonia and nitrite. Inside the wheel, a protected surface allows bacteria to mature, die, and fuel the nitrification cycle naturally. Unlike static media, K1's movement displaces old, dead bacteria, creating space for new bacterial growth.K1 also reduces filter maintenance time.
