Description
The Artisan Nest Box from the Bali Range is a handmade and hand-painted haven for small garden birds, crafted by Balinese artisans using sustainable SLVK-certified timber and a unique dot painting technique. Designed for durability with water-based paint, it provides a safe and secure habitat for small birds to roost and nest from autumn through winter to spring when they raise their young. Suitable for species like sparrows & flycatchers, it adds a vibrant, eco-friendly touch to any garden while supporting wildlife. The nest box should be sited on a tree, wall, or garden fitting at a height of 1.5m–2.5m, preferably in a place inaccessible to cats and predators. The ideal aspect is east-facing, though SE and NE are also suitable. Leave the box empty, as wild birds will bring their own nesting material. To maintain it as a safe habitat, clean the interior each September after fledglings have left.
