Collines de L'If Saint-Emilion 2018 75cl Château L’If is the brainchild of Jacques Thienpont, proprietor of the revered Pomerol property, Le Pin. He purchased the St-Emilion vineyard in 2010 noting its prime position on the St-Emilion plateau, facing the village and lying close to famed Chateau Troplong-Mondot.Originally called Chateau La Bouygue, Jacques changed its name inline with Le Pin, which means ‘pine tree’ while L’If means ‘yew tree’.The Merlot-led Collines de L'If, the second wine of the estate, is a velvety and easy to drink wine that's brimming with bramble and red fruit aromas.
