Blank Bottle Loskop 2020 37.5cl Pieter Walser conceived Blank Bottle as “an honest wine brand that had no limitations”.Anything is possible here: style of wine, region, and even grape varieties.In any given vintage, he might produce more than 40 individual cuvées, and he estimates that at any moment 50% of his output is a single bottling, never to be recreated.The Loksop is a tiny production wine made from the Tinta Barocca grape that Pieter decided to only bottle in half bottles. Its name means absent minded, and comes from the fact that the day Pieter went to pick this vineyard, he realised half way there that he hadn’t put his shoes on. Hence the label, too.It’s a brilliant example of the lesser known Tinta Barocca grape variety.Think 25: Please be prepared to show ID when receiving alcohol deliveries.
