Description
Purato Catarratto Pinot Grigio With the Purato wines, we bottle exactly what Mother Nature has given us - there is nothing added and nothing taken away. The results are immediately recognizable in the taste of the wine, which has a complete purity of fruit, totally unadulterated by any chemicals or man-made pesticides. Our total commitment to the environment extends beyond the wine itself. We use 100% ecofriendly products in our packaging, for example the label is made from recycled paper and vegetable ink, the bottle is made from 85% recycled glass and the cartons are made from recycled cardboard. Purato is a quality range of indigenous, affordable Sicilian wines, which benefit from absolutely purity of fruit and an impeccable environmental conscience. Purato is made from 60% Catarratto and 40% Pinot Grigio. The grapes are selected from the best vineyards in the Trapani area. The vineyards are the most characteristic and typical of this area, with a predominance of white grapes. The pinot grigio is picked in the first part of August while Catarratto in the second part of September. Both are hand-picked which allows us to select the grapes when at their optimum maturity while retaining the grapes acidity. After destemming, grapes are gently pressed. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures not exceeding 18C for approximately 3 weeks. After the fermentation of Catarratto is finished, the two wines are blended and kept on fine lease until the end of December.Think 25: Please be prepared to show ID when receiving alcohol deliveries.
