Chateau Montaiguillon is a leading estate in the appellation of Montagne-St-Emilion, across the river and uphill from the village of St-Emilion itself.With similar limestone soils, a slightly cooler climate, and south facing slopes overlooking some of the region’s top estates (like Cheval Blanc, l’Evangile and Figeac).Montaiguillon offers a glimpse at St-Emilion star quality without the price tag. There are notes of dark cherries and plums on the nose, with just a hint of oak spice, leads to a palate with good fruit weight and excellent precision. The finish is stony and long, and very mouthwatering.Think 25: Please be prepared to show ID when receiving alcohol deliveries.
