Description
The execution G was the most produced variant of the Pzkpfw V Panther and replaced the execution A starting from 1944 in the production. The chassis had been made cheaper and further improvements flowed into the production continuously. Vehicles of the final version exhibited, inter alia, a modified engine deck and a modified roller shutter. With its 7.5cm gun cannon 42L / 70 and bullet-resistant forms, the Panther proved to be a dangerous opponent. The V-12 cylinder Maybach HL 230P30 petrol engine with 700 hp maximum power allowed the 44,800 kg Panther Ausf. G a top speed of up to 55 km / h.
