Description
Presented as a kit by WIKING in 1967, it returns 55 years later as a finished model. The 3S garage manufacturer alone ordered around 60,000 of these garage models after the 1:87 presentation in 1967 and also offered them in their own garage brochure. And indeed: for every “big” garage there was a “small” garage for the children. As a kit, it was a really attractive gift that was well received everywhere, and the manufacturer liked to remember it. In 1971 the garage then disappeared from the WIKING range. At the same time, it marked the end of the large range of accessories that WIKING founder Fritz Peltzer had maintained until then. The do-it-yourself garage was actually based on the original model.
