The seasoning process involves baking vegetable oil on to the surface at a high temperature, creating a naturally non-stick surface, without the need for any chemical coating. You can easily maintain the surface by rubbing in a little fresh oil after washing in soap and water.The raised griddle surface allows any fat to drain away and the lip on the side of the pan enables easy disposal of cooking liquids.
