Ideal for horses needing the support of a fixed ring bit. Sweet Iron encourages the horse to salivate. The JP Sweet Iron French Link Eggbutt Snaffle is a double jointed bit that acts on the tongue and the bars of the mouth. The French Link eliminates the nutcracker and palate action of a single jointed bit and instead applies pressure to the horses tongue. All JP bits feature curved bars that prevent the bit from hitting the roof of the horses mouth and eliminate the nutcracker-like action that can pinch a horses tongue. Not dressage legal.
