75g unsalted butter
10–20ml cold water
Baking tray

PREPARATION GUIDELINES
Makes: 8 biscuits
Cooking time: 10–12 minutes | Method: Oven.
Line a baking tray and cut out the stencil from the carton.
To make the biscuits:
1. Pre-heat the oven to 190°C / Fan 170°C / Gas 5.
2. Empty the biscuit mix sachet into a mixing bowl, add the butter then mix together to form a soft dough.
3. Roll out the dough to 6mm thickness and using the stencil as a guide (inside side of the carton stencil facing downwards onto the dough) carefully cut out 8 biscuits. Alternatively, draw round the stencil on baking paper and use this as the stencil.
4. Lay on a lined baking tray and bake for 10–12 minutes until lightly golden in colour.
Whilst your biscuits are in the oven:
To make the icing:
5. Empty the red icing mix into a bowl, add 5–10ml of cold water and mix until smooth.
6. Empty the chocolate icing mix into a bowl (keep the sachet for later use). Add 5–10ml of cold water and mix until smooth.
7. Take the biscuits from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
8. Wait until they are completely cooled before decorating.
9. Use the red icing to decorate the body of the ladybird. Place the chocolate icing into the empty sachet and carefully snip the corner to create a piping bag. Use the chocolate icing to add the ladybird face and spots.
