Description

Antigal Uno Malbec 75cl Antigal UNO is a one-of-a-kind Malbec whose luscious black-and red-berry fruit is brightened by natural acidity and supported by firm but ripe tannins. The wine's unique personality reflects the outstanding quality of grapes hand-harvested from our vineyards high on the Andes foothills; its smoothness and purity of flavor evince the gentleness of gravity-flow winemaking.Manual harvest in 18 kg boxes. Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes are cooled to preserve their freshness and aromatic expression. A manual selection of bunches follows, after which the grapes are destemmed. Some components were fermented with 5-10% whole clusters to enhance structure and complexity. Fermentation took place using a combination of selected and indigenous yeasts, in a variety of vessels including stainless steel, concrete, and clay amphorae. The wine was then aged for 10 months, with 50% in French and American oak barrels and 50% in stainless steel tanks.Training method: VSPAverage yield: 120 qq/HaVegan certification.Color: Deep red with purple hues on the rim of the glass, characteristic of Malbec wines from Mendoza.Aroma: Predominantly red fruits like plums and cherries, complemented by subtle notes of violets and hints of sweet spices. With slight oxygenation, aromas of vanilla and a touch of smokiness appear, reflecting its brief aging in oak.Flavor: Smooth, with round tannins and balanced acidity. Flavors of red and black fruits dominate, enhanced by a subtle note of chocolate or tobacco. Its velvety texture and medium body make it easy to drink. The medium to long finish is fresh, with pleasant lingering fruity and spicy notes.Pairings: A versatile Malbec that pairs with red meats, pasta, and semi-cured cheeses, ideal for any occasion.

Sourced from Mendoza vineyards, including Primera Zona and the Uco Valley, Primera Zona at 800 m adds approachability, balance, and expressive fruit. The Uco Valley, 900-1,400 m at the Andes foothills, brings cooler temperatures, vibrant acidity, and aromatic intensity.
