The Viognier is hand-picked and directly whole-bunch pressed. The must is fermented at low temperature to retain the varietal aromas, in thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks. Every step is taken to preserve the wines delicate aroma and freshness.

History

Paul Jaboulet Aîné is one of the most historic and renowned wineries in the Rhône Valley, originally founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet in Tain-l'Hermitage. The winery gained its name from Antoine's son, Paul, with "Aîné" (meaning "the elder") added to distinguish him from his brother. For generations, the Jaboulet family built a legendary reputation.

Regional Information

This wine originates from regions with sunny days and cool nights, fostering excellent aromatic complexity. Additionally, varying elevations between sea level and foothills regulate grape maturation. The predominantly calcareous, slightly clayey soil further enhances its quality.
