How to Prepare and Plate

 

1. Decant the meat and juices from the pouch into the foil tray, and pat the chicken skin dry to help the skin crisp up. Place in the centre of the oven and cook for 20 minutes.
2. Decant the cabbage from the pouch. Drizzle a tsp of oil into a frying pan and sear for 2 minutes either side on a medium heat. Remove the chicken from the oven and add the cabbage into the foil tray. Cook for a further 15 minutes, then rest for 5 minutes before serving. 
3. While the chicken rests, heat the unopened sauce sachet in a saucepan of simmering water for 2 minutes or until warmed through. Remove, and allow to stand for 2 minutes.
4. For best results, carve the chicken off the bone and slice across the width of the breast.
5. To plate, pour the chicken emulsion onto the plate. Place the sliced chicken on top of the sauce and position the hispi cabbage alongside to serve.

Oven

Instructions: 200°C/ Fan 180°C/Gas 6 35 mins Remove product from carton and place sauce sachet to one side. Decant the meat and juices from the pouch into the foil tray, place chicken skin side up and pat the skin dry to help the skin crisp up. Place in the centre of a pre-heated oven and cook for 200°C/ Fan 180°C/Gas 6 20 mins. Decant the cabbage from the pouch. For best results, drizzle a teaspoon of oil into a frying pan and sear the cabbage for 2 minutes either side on a medium heat. Remove the chicken from the oven and add the cabbage into the foil tray alongside the chicken. Cook for a further 15 minutes for maximum succulence. Leave to stand for 5 minutes before serving. While the chicken and cabbage are resting, heat the unopened sauce sachet in a saucepan of simmering water for 2 minutes or until warmed through. Remove, and leave to stand for 2 minutes. For best results, carve the chicken off the bone and slice across the width of the breast. Cut the cabbage into half. To plate, open the sauce sachet and pour the sauce onto the plate. Place the sliced chicken on top of the sauce and position the cabbage alongside to serve.
