Preparation and Usage

Cooking Instruction- Remove from packaging and dry the rind thoroughly, leave to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.Again, dry the rind thoroughly, lightly rub with oil, and sprinkle the whole surface of the rind evenly with salt.- Place on a roasting tin in the centre of a pre-heated oven at 230°C/Fan 210°C/Gas 8 for 45 minutes.- Reduce temperature to 200°C/Fan 180°C/Gas 6 and cook for remaining time.- Drizzle glaze over the crackling 10 minutes before the end of the cook time.Oven - 230°C/Fan 210°C/Gas 8Calculate the cooking time at 30 minutes per 500g plus 25 minutes.- Allow to rest in a warm place for 10-15 minutes before serving.- For best results carve the joint in the same direction as the string.CautionThis product contains raw meat. Always wash hands, surfaces and utensils after contact with raw meat.ImportantNot suitable for microwave cooking. Not suitable for cooking from frozen. All appliances vary, these are guidelines only. Check food is piping hot throughout before serving. Tesco recommends that meat products are cooked thoroughly.

Oven

Place on a roasting tin in the centre of a pre-heated oven at 230°C / Fan 210°C / Gas 8 for 45 minutes. Reduce temperature to 200°C / Fan 180°C / Gas 6 and cook for remaining time. Allow to rest in a warm place for 10-15 minutes before serving. Place the glaze sachet into a pan of boiling water for 5 minutes, and serve on the side. For best results carve the joint in the same direction as the string.

Microwave

Instructions: Not suitable for microwave cooking.

Storage

Suitable for freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by 'use by' date shown. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 24 hours in the fridge. Once defrosted use within 24 hours and do not refreeze. Follow the preparation guidelines above. Not suitable for cooking from frozen. Keep refrigerated. Once opened, consume within 1 day and by ‘use by’ date shown.
