Description

Marques de Casa Concha Carmenere 75cl This Carmenere comes from our historic Peumo Vineyard located on old river terraces above the north bank of the Cachapoal River in the Cachapoal Valley. 170 m.a.s.l. This limited-production wine was aged in French oak for at least 14 months. Striking yet elegant aromas of ripe dark fruits, spices, and black pepper are synonymous with Peumo's distinctive terroir. Oak aging lends delicious chocolate and vanilla notes to this voluptuous wine with sweet, round tannins and a long, elegant finish.
Marques de Casa Concha was created in honor of the noble title conferred upon the Concha y love family by King Philip V of Spain in 1718. This wine seeks to express the distinctive character of its place of origin.

History

Marques de Casa Concha is a range of super premium Chilean wines that fully encompasses the country's diversity. The grapes are grown in vineyards in which the complex interplay between natural conditions, vineyard planning, and the age of the vines endows the entire range with unique character.

Regional Information

The grapes used to produce this wine are grown at our Peumo Vineyard which is located 170m a.s.l and extends along the Cachapoal River on terraced hills of the Coastal Mountain Range. Vines are led with stakes and in vertical trellis with cords. Soils are deep, and thanks to the first layer of clay, they retain humidity. Thus, allowing vine activity until the end of May when Carmenere is harvested and also controlling its vigour and growth.
