Once defrosted use within 24 hours and do not refreeze. Follow the preparation guidelines above. Not suitable for cooking from frozen. Keep refrigerated. Once opened, consume within 1 days and by 'use by' date shown.

Cooking Instructions

Instructions: Remove all packaging and allow steaks to rest for 10 minutes at room temperature before cooking. For best results pan fry.CautionThis product contains raw meat. Always wash hands, surfaces and utensils after contact with raw meat.ImportantTesco recommends that meat products are cooked thoroughly. If cooked rare there is a small risk that harmful bacteria may be present. Not suitable for microwave cooking. Not suitable for cooking from frozen.Remove all packaging. Allow steaks to rest for 10 minutes at room temperature before cooking. For best results, we recommend pan frying this product.

Shallow Fry

Instructions: 1-2 mins.Add a little oil to a heavy based frying pan and heat to a high setting. Place the steaks in the pan. Cook for 1 minute (rare), 11/½ minutes (medium) or 2 minutes (well done), turning occasionally. Remove steaks from the pan and allow to rest in a warm place for 1-2 minutes before serving.High/medium 4-10 mins.Lightly brush each side of the steaks with a little oil. Heat a heavy based pan over a high heat until smoking. Add steaks to the dry pan over a high heat for 1 minute on each side. Reduce to a medium heat and continue to cook for a further 2-4 minutes (rare), 4-6 minutes (medium) or 6-8 minutes (well done), turning halfway through cooking time. Remove steaks from the pan and allow to rest in a warm place for 3-5 minutes before serving.

Grill

Instructions: 2-4 mins.Place the steaks under a pre-heated high grill. Cook for 2 minutes (rare), 3 minutes (medium) or 4 minutes (well done), turning occasionally. Remove steaks from the grill and allow to rest in a warm place for 1-2 minutes before serving.Medium/high 8-14 mins.Place steak on a tray in a pre-heated medium/high grill for 8-10 minutes (rare) 10-12 minutes (medium). 12-14 minutes (well done, turning halfway through cooking time. Remove steaks from the grill and allow to rest in a warm place for 3-5 mautes before serving.

Barbecue

Instructions: 2 mins.For a chargrilled barbecue effect, cook as per cooking guidelines above then place on the barbecue for a further 2 minutes, turning frequently.
