Preparation and Usage

How to Cook the Perfect SteakChef's TipsYou will need: A baking tray, a pair of tongs and a spoon to baste.Preparation is keyBring your steak to room temperature by taking it out of the fridge 15 minutes before cooking.Place the melt on top of the steak and place on a foil lined baking tray.Tips for cooking the perfect steakBasting: During the oven cooking process, regularly baste the steak in the 'Nduja and Sundried Tomato Melt' until the steak is fully cooked. Be sure to baste well whilst it rests.Perfect to finish on the BBQFor a chargrilled barbecue effect, cook as per the cooking instructions above, then place on the barbecue, brush with the excess juices and turn frequently.Plating up like a proResting: Before plating your steak, ensure it's well-rested for at least 5 minutes and ideally on a warm plate. Avoid resting on the baking tray as this may over-cook the steak.Carving: Carve the meat off the bone first by running a sharp knife between the meat and the bone. Next, identify the direction of the grain, which are the parallel fibres running through the meat, and cut against the grain into slices with a thickness of your liking. Spoon the excess juices over the steaks to finish.

Oven

Instructions: For best results oven cook. Remove all packaging and rest at room temperature for 15 minutes. 200°C/Fan 180°C/Gas 6 Chilled: 26-30 mins. Place the melt on top of the chop and place on a foil lined baking tray in the centre of a pre-heated oven. Allow to for 5 minutes before serving. To serve as a sharing steak, remove the bone and slice before serving.

Instructions: Air Fry 160°C Chilled: 22 mins.Remove all packaging and rest at room temperature for 15 minutes.Based on minimum 3.8 litre capacity air fryer.Pre-heat air fryer.Place steak in the air fryer with melt on top in a single layer.

Storage

Suitable for freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by 'use by' date shown. Follow the preparation guidelines above. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 12 hours in the fridge. Once defrosted use within 24 hours and do not refreeze. Keep refrigerated. Once opened, consume within 1 day and by ‘use by’ date shown.
