Description

Aberdeen Angus bone-in beef ribeye steak.A thick bone in steak, best seared in a pan and finished in the oven. This will allow the rich, meaty flavours to release from the bone whilst rendering the fat to create a juicy, succulent texture.Classic bone in ribeye steak matured on the bone for maximum tenderness. Hand trimmed by our butchers, perfect for sharing between two.

Preparation and Usage

Allow steak to rest for 1 hour at room temperature before cooking.

Suitable for freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by 'use by' date shown. Not suitable for cooking from frozen. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 12 hours in the fridge. Once defrosted use within 24 hours and do not refreeze. Follow the preparation guidelines above. Keep refrigerated. Once opened, consume within 1 day and by ‘use by’ date shown.

Oven

Instructions: 200°C/ Fan 180°C/ Gas 6 Transfer the steak to a pre-heated baking tray and place in the centre of a pre-heated oven. Cook for a further: 4 mins per 100g (rare) 6 mins per 100g (medium) 10 mins per 100g (well done) Remove from the oven. Allow steak to rest for 10 minutes before serving. These instructions are given as a guideline only as steak thickness will vary slightly.

Microwave

Instructions: Not suitable for microwave cooking.

Shallow Fry

Instructions: Rub or brush the steak with a little oil and season with sea salt. Heat a heavy based frying pan over a high heat for 2-5 minutes until hot. Place steak in the dry pan and cook over a high heat. PAN FRY 2 mins each side plus 1 min for each steak edge.
