Regional Information

Surrounded by ocean and mountains, Marlborough is blessed with blissful weather, with the free draining stony soils, long days of sunshine and a relatively cool climate. Those long dry days, contrasted with crisp cool nights, helped vintners extend the ripening period for their grapes, creating a bit of magic. Marlborough is now famous the world over for its zingy, grassy and herbaceous Sauvignon Blanc - it's our taste of summer in a glass.

Vinification Details

The wine is fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is vinified at a low temperature so to help retain the unique flavours of Sauvignon Blanc produced in the Marlborough Valleys.

History

Being one of the sunniest and driest areas in New Zealand, Marlborough also has relatively cool climate conditions, providing the grapes with a long slow, flavour-intensifying ripening period. The combination of a cool yet high sunshine climate, low rainfall and free-draining, moderately fertile soil produces uniquely vivid wines.
