Preparation and Usage

Cooking InstructionsRemove the outer packaging and leave the chicken in the foil tray, disposing of packaging carefully.Oven 200°C/Fan 180°C/Gas 6Place foil tray on a baking tray, cover with foil and cook in the middle of the pre-heated oven for the time on front of pack label. Remove foil cover 30 minutes before the end of cooking. Take care when removing the chicken from the oven as there will be some hot juices within the foil tray.CautionThis product contains raw meat. This product will contain bones. To avoid cross contamination, do not wash raw poultry and use separate chopping boards and utensils for raw poultry and ready to eat foods. Wash hands after touching raw poultry.ImportantNot suitable for microwave cooking. Not suitable for cooking from frozen. All appliances vary, these are guidelines only. Tesco recommends that meat products are cooked thoroughly. Poultry is cooked if the juices run clear when the deepest part of the flesh is pierced with a thin skewer. If the juices are pink, continue cooking for a few minutes and reset.

Oven

Instructions: 200°C / Fan 180°C / Gas 6 Chilled: For calculated cooking times, please see front of pack. Remove the outer packaging and leave the chicken in the foil tray, disposing of packaging carefully. Place foil tray on a baking tray, cover with foil and cook in the middle of the pre-heated oven for 30 minutes per 500g plus an additional 30 minutes. Baste occasionally during cooking. Remove foil cover 30 minutes before the end of cooking time. Allow to rest for 15 minutes before carving. Take care when removing the chicken from the oven as there will be some hot juices within the foil tray.

Microwave

Instructions: Not suitable for microwave cooking.

Storage

Suitable for freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by 'use by' date shown. Follow the preparation guidelines above. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 24 hours in the fridge. Once defrosted use within 24 hours and do not refreeze. Not suitable for cooking from frozen. Keep refrigerated below 4°C.
