Kashmir Balti Cooking SauceKohinoor specialises in the vibrant and eclectic flavours across South East Asia. This recipe originated in Baltistan, a region of Kashmir. The dish was traditionally cooked using a metal bowl and was often prepared by sheep herders. A robust combination of caramelised onions with tomato, ginger, bell peppers and garam masala.

Oven cook

Instructions: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a saucepan, stir fry 500g of diced lamb. Add 1 cup of water, cover saucepan with lid and allow to cook on medium heat for 30 mins. Add contents of the pouch, cook for further 15 mins. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.

Storage

Store in a cool dry place. Once opened keep refrigerated and consume within 3 days.
