Microwave
Instructions: The quickest and easiest way to cook your chocolate haggis!Remove the chocolate haggis from all packaging, including casing and metal clips. Place into a microwavable dish. Cover with clingfilm, pierce film and cook on full power (800W) for 3-4 minutes. Remove dish from the microwave, carefully peel back film and serve the steaming hot chocolate haggis.Alternatively, to serve as 'a haggis' please boil or oven cook by removing from the outer bag and wrapping the chocolate haggis (with casing and clips as found) in aluminium foil.
Cooking Instructions
Instructions: Important - This is a raw product and must be fully cooked prior to consumption. Prior to cooking, remove haggis from outer bag.Always ensure the centre of the chocolate haggis is piping hot before serving.Please note Chocolate haggis is a luscious, spoonable pudding with a glossy, velvety texture and is not supposed to be cakey or firm.As all appliances may vary, these are guidelines only. Do not reheat.
Boil
Instructions: Place the wrapped chocolate haggis in a large pan of boiling water so that it is just cover in water. Bring to a bubbling boil and then reduce the heat and gently simmer for 30 minutes. Carefully remove from the pan, remove the foil and slice open the casing to serve the steaming hot chocolate haggis.
Oven cook
Instructions: Preheat oven to approximately 190°C (170°C for fan assisted) / Gas Mark 5. Place the wrapped haggis in an oven proof dish and fill with boiling water to halfway up the chocolate haggis. Cover with a lid and place in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Check the water level from time to time during cooking and top up if required. Carefully remove from the dish, remove the foil and slice open the casing to serve the steaming hot chocolate haggis.
Storage
This product may have been previously frozen and defrosted under controlled conditions.Keep refrigerated. Once opened use within 2 days, taking care not to exceed the use by date. If freezing, freeze on the day of purchase and use within one month. Defrost thoroughly in a refrigerator before use and consume within 24 hours.
