Cabernet FrancCabernet franc is a grape variety that thrives particularly well on the terroir of Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil composed of gravel, sand and sometimes tuffeau located on the old Terraces of the right bank of the Loire.This wine has a dark purplish red color and reveals typical fruity aromas of raspberries and blackcurrants, wrapped in a light tannic structure.

Vinification Details

Vinification is traditionally conducted in wooden vats named a « Foudre ». Prolonged maceration during 10 to 20 days to obtain a good extraction. After racking and pressing, the malolactic fermentation is always done in wood vats. Alcoholic fermentation begins naturally. Ageing in wood barrels. A light filtration precedes the bottling.
