Preparation and Usage
Just add fresh ingredients!Rediscover the simple pressure of home cookingJust add, serves 2- 180g rice- 2 chicken breast fillets, cut into thin strips- 2 pak choi, quartered and roughly chopped- 3 spring onions, thinly slicedTo serve 4, add more fresh ingredientsOptional extras2 eggsMeat-free swapsSwap chicken breast for chopped peppersUsing our flavour pots...1 Cook the rice2 Fry the chicken with the veg & Garlic Paste3 Mix in the Gochujang Sauce and the Doenjang PasteKorean Fried Rice1. Cook the rice- Bring a pan of water to the boil, then add the rice and cook for 6-8 mins (until it's about 3/4 of the way done), then drain and keep aside.2. Start the stir-fry- Heat some oil in a frying pan and then fry the chicken over a high heat for 2-3 mins.- Add the pak choi in and fry for 1 min.- Turn the heat down and add the 1 Garlic Paste with a splash of water. Stir fry for 1 min then remove everything from the pan and keep aside.3. Add the Korean flavours- Add a little more oil to the pan and fry the cooked rice over a medium heat for 2 mins, stirring occasionally.- Meanwhile, mix the 2 Gochujang Sauce and the 3 Doenjang Paste together in a small bowl with a splash of water. Then pour the mixture into the rice and stir fry until it's well mixed through.- Tip all the chicken and veg into the rice along with most of the spring onions and mix well.- If you're having fried eggs on top, add a little oil to the pan and fry the eggs.Serve!Serve the rice into bowls and top with more spring onions and a fried egg (if having).
