Chris Chinn and his skilled team grow their Jubilee asparagus for Tesco. The the warm climate in the undulating hills of the Wye Valley in Herefordshire allow for an early start to the British season, then other locations in the UK ensure ongoing supply. The asparagus spears are harvested in the early morning when at their most sweet and tender. Purple asparagus can also be washed and used in a salad without the need to cook it.
