Description

NV Sparkling Rose Wine Croser Sparkling Rose Wine reflects the quality of Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fruit. Made in the Traditional Method, Croser Sparkling Wine is a blend of selected vintages. The wine displays fresh and vibrant apple, pear and citrus characters, accentuated with a creamy almond brioche finish. A wine of pedigree, Croser Non Vintage continues the renowned Croser style.
Croser Sparkling Wines were created in 1985 in the Piccadilly Valley in the Adelaide Hills. This region in Australia produces sparkling wine to rival Champagne.Founded by Brian Croser, the first vintage of Croser was released in 1985 as an extension of Petaluma Wines. The Croser Sparkling philosophy continues today starting in the vineyard where all the vines are hand pruned, the grapes handpicked, the fruit whole bunch pressed and the wines hand crafted in the traditional method. It was crafted in the traditional method, as it was believed this to be the only method to make sparkling wines to rival Champagne as it created complexity of texture, flavour, bouquet and those tiny bubbles.

Vinification Details

During disgorging a small amount of Pinot Noir is combined with the dosage liqueur to balance the wines natural acidity and enhance the pink intensity. As is the tradition with non-vintage Champagne, this wine is a blend of the current vintage Croser with reserve wine from several older vintages - with each vintage adding distinctive qualities to the final blend.
