Wine of Origin: Cape Coast RegionThe historic rose garden at Boschendal is a national treasure, housing one of the oldest collections of roses in the Cape. On the nose it offers enticing crushed summer berry aromas with a soft and juicy palate, which include succulent ripe strawberries, raspberries and mulberries tinged with a hint of spice. This pale rosé finishes with great balance, freshness and fruit intensity.
Farming for the next 300 Years.Boschendal is passionate about playing its part in conservation through commitment to biodiversity : friendly and regenerative farming practices, conservation of natural areas and continually improving water and energy efficiencies. Boschendal is one of only 38 WWF Conservation Champion wineries in South Africa.

History

Only an hour's drive from Cape Town, this magnificent winery is situated in the picturesque Groot Drakenstein. Boschendal lays claim to a proud winemaking tradition stretching back to the late 17th century.
Regional Information
The Coastal Region is located in the Western Cape, and accounts for half of the vineyard area in South Africa. Encompassing amongst others, Stellenbosch, Paarl, and Constantia, the area is closely linked with South Africa's viticultural history. Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the west and mountain ranges to the south and east, the topography of the region creates a cooler maritime climate near to the coast and a more settled Mediterranean climate further inland.
