First, clear the dinner table and set the scene – we recommend using your fanciest crockery and glassware, lighting a candle and pouring yourself a drink. Get ready to enjoy something very special.
Follow the simple step-by-step instructions below to prepare your meal.
Step 1:
Pre-heat the oven to 190°C/Fan 170°C/Gas 5.
Remove the film (with scissors) from the Mustard Mash and cover with foil.
Once the oven is pre-heated, place the Mustard Mash on a baking tray and heat for 35 minutes.
Now set a timer for 15 mins.
Step 2:
Once the 15-minute timer is up, remove the Pulled Pork & Black Pudding Bon Bons from their pouch and place in the foil provided. Place in the oven and cook for 20 minutes.
Step 3:
Heat a drizzle of oil in a non-stick frying pan until very hot.
Transfer the Pork Belly from the pouch to your hot frying pan, discarding the cooking liquor. Fry for 2-3 minutes on each side on a medium-high heat until golden brown. Cut the corner of the Honey & Mustard Glaze sachet (with scissors) and add to the Pork Belly in the frying pan. Cook until glazed and sticky, then transfer it to the foil tray provided and place in the oven for 15 minutes.
Step 4:
For this final 15 minutes, turn your attention to the Cider Jus and Glazed Apples.
Cider Jus: Place the unopened Cider Jus sachet into a saucepan on the hob. Add enough boiling water to just cover the sachet and heat for 8 minutes over a medium-low heat. You will need to carefully remove the sachet once you are ready to plate up.
Glazed Apples: Meanwhile, remove the Glazed Apples from their pouch and place flat side down in a pre-heated frying pan. Cook for 8-10 minutes on a low heat, until the liquid becomes sticky and the apple starts to caramelise.
Step 5:
You are now ready to plate it like a professional (we recommend warming your plates in the oven for a few minutes first). You should also check each component is piping hot before serving.
- Divide the Mustard Mash between two plates
- Place one portion of Slow Cooked Pork Belly onto each plate alongside the Mustard Mash
- Divide the caramelised Apples and Pulled Pork & Black Pudding Bon Bons between the two plates
- Cut the corner of the Cider Jus sachet (using scissors) and drizzle over your dish
