Description

Apple and beechwood smoked dry cured back bacon with a spice rub, steeped in black treacle.Our dry cured smoked back bacon is cured with our traditional Woodall's cure and festive spiced rub. Marinaded in black treacle and smoked over apple and beechwood chips. Perfect to create the ultimate festive bacon sandwich. The outdoor bred pork in this product comes from producers inspected to RSPCA welfare standards by the RSPCA's independently certified farm assurance scheme.

Ingredients

INGREDIENTS: Pork (86%), Black Treacle (7%) [Molasses, Invert Sugar Syrup, Water], Salt, Sugar, Brown Sugar, Cornflour, Cinnamon, Preservatives (Sodium Nitrite, Sodium Nitrate), Lemon Juice Powder, Nutmeg, Antioxidant (Sodium Ascorbate), Orange Peel, Ground Ginger, Dextrose, Ginger Extract.

Microwave

Instructions: Not suitable for microwave cooking.

Grill

Instructions: For best results, grill. GRILL CHILLED: 4-6 MINS. Place under a pre-heated grill at medium heat for 4-6 minutes. Turn occasionally. For extra crispy bacon, grill for an additional 2 minutes.

Shallow Fry

Instructions: PAN FRY CHILLED: 3-5 MINS. Fry in a little oil for 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally. Drain well before serving.

Cooking Precautions

Tesco recommends that all meat products are cooked thoroughly.Always wash hands, surfaces and utensils after contact with raw meat.

Storage

Suitable for home freezing. Ideally freeze as soon as possible after purchase but always by 'use by' date shown. Not suitable for cooking from frozen. Follow the preparation guidelines above. Once defrosted use on the same day and do not refreeze. Defrost thoroughly for a minimum of 6-8 hours in the fridge. Keep refrigerated. Once opened, consume within 3 days and by 'use by' date shown.
