Stick with unfrozen!!
Sorry but these were not good, you'd think they were the same as the unfrozen variety but these were different. I found them difficult to cook (and I have years of experience cooking sausages!!!) Only with these the casing came apart in the pan and the sausages were dry almost inside, I had better luck cooking them in a casserole but even then the texture was still dry almost grainy. We love Richmond sausages but will stick to the unfrozen variety in future we think they are the best flavour tesco supply!
The BEST Sausages
I won’t eat any other sausages but Richmonds. Any other sausages I’ve tried have been hard and gelatinous! But these frozen ones alongside the chilled ones taste exactly the same. More water comes out of the frozen ones initially obviously because they’ve been frozen so you have to cook them for a longer period of time. Common sense really! Richmonds have a lovely flavour and a soft texture. Very flavoursome! The thin skinless ones are just as good. I use these for hotdogs, with and vegetables, sausages casserole, in pasta....The Best!
These sausages really surprised me they definitely are not as nice as the unfrozen ones. They shrink terribly and a large amount of liquid comes out of them. I cooked them as instructed and it amazed me that they don't brown much yet are terribly dry a really strange flavour too. I definitely won't be buying them again even our dog only ate a small piece and wouldn't have any more he normally goes mad over sausages.
