Don't buy this! It was absolutely foul. Just a load of inedible slop which ended up in the bin. Dreadful.
by TRUSTY REVIEW As long-time moussaka eaters of both Greek-restaurant cooked and, until some time back, the Tesco brand, which was fairly authentic, we think we can judge a good factory-produced product. And this one isn't too bad for taste, despite the inevitable reviews that describe how the product was thrown in the bin without eating! (All food products seem to feature this reviewer.) But where this Mansby product lets you down is in its consistency - rather like soup even if you over-cook by 30 minutes. A real moussaka is a solid thing with a thick layer of lamb, which is where this product again fails - the layer (as it floats out) is very mean. We won't be buying this again but as a one-off purchase you might find the taste okay, as we did.
Greased Lightning including full oil service
I'm not even going to give it 1 star. Bought for hubby as he likes Mousakka & would of served 1 if he could have eat it. If i'd have ordered this at a restaurant I would have asked for some Mousakka with my oil please. He didn't even make a full circuit around the cooling outside before he started drooling like a dog wanting his favourite treat and bolting straight upstairs to began praying to the gods of porcelain. Never since we've been together has any food ever made him react that way. Could probably say there was enough oil in there to cook your chips for a week. Absolute disgusting mess. Avoid at all costs unless you need something to make your worst enemy hurl.
I couldn’t score this a 0 as it wasn’t an option this was just sloppy liquid disgustingly poor quality mousakka if I’d have known it was frozen I wouldn’t have bought it but even still gross !
Nothing like moussaka
Taste's nothing like the moussaka I know, very runny, but it is edible, just!
Absolutely disgusting slop!
I can't tell you what it tastes like because I felt sick just dishing it out and looking at it on the plate. It went straight in the bin.
