I used to really enjoy this curry but since they have changed the recipe it has lost the taste of the previous recipe and i do not like it very much. Such a shame. Tesco why did you change the previous recipe when there was nothing wrong with it.
No, No, No
No, No, No, this is bad, really bad. Horrible new taste. First the Jalfrezi one was ruined now this one is even worse. Won't be buying either of them again. Will remove them from my favourites.
Cost skimming on new recipe
I always have this with rice and its good. Good amount of chicken but theyve changed the recipe. Its not a lot of mushy tiny bits of chicken. I genuinely thought I had a mince curry when I opened the can. Taste is ok but doesn't fill you. It makes this a pointless product now. Genuinely think this is a bigger issue to obesity than fast food chains.
New recipe is not an improvement
So disappointed. The recipe used to be really lovely with large pieces of chicken, but now this 'new' recipe is watery, flavourless and the chicken is very small. Will not be buying again

This was quite a shock and not in a good way. I was expecting my usual tasty lunch at work. I won't be buying this again unless I can find some old skock.
New recipe, no thanks!
I’ve bought this curry on a regular basis for years, it was tasty and made for a quick evening meal. It now has a new recipe, which is nothing like the previous version. As a previous reviewer stated, it has less chicken than before (this is immediately evident when you pour it out) and the flavour is terrible. Change is not always bad, however, in this instance, cost cutting has ruined an excellent product. If it wasn’t broke, why fix it? I certainly won’t be buying it again. Sadly this is happening to a few of the Tesco products I buy.
Less chicken, more fat & sugar & water
Well, the New Recipe is to have much less chicken (34% vs. 40% in the previous 400g cans), and more fat (4.2g vs 3.7g), more sugar (2.5g vs 0.5g) and now water has moved up to the second largest ingredient. And ofc its slightly smaller (392g vs. 400g). Unimpressed even before I open the can...
Good but on the downward slope
Thought so -Tesco ever reducing downwards. New means new size not new product. All the tinned curries are good some are excellent . Lamb was the first casualty and that hasn't returned. Cost implications I suppose, so here are the curries reduced in volume from 400gms to 392gms. There must come a time when goods cannot be reduced in size any further -but don't bet on it.
