Bonterra Chardonnay Org Wine 75cl

An initial impression of rich, buttery cream evolves into aromas of honey and lightly toasted almonds, followed by pineapple, citrus and crème brûlée aromas. This wine is refreshing on the palate, with a minerality that is bright and clean.

Bonterra was founded on the philosophy that farming organically produces the purest, most flavourful fruit. We aren't typical farmers, and we don't make a typical Chardonnay.

Vinification Details

Organic fruit from Mendocino County contributes characteristic flavors of green apples, pears and citrus to our Chardonnay. 70% of the juice is fermented in a combination of French and American oak, then allow this portion to undergo malolactic fermentation to create a rich, creamy wine with just a touch of oak spice.

History

Bonterra vineyards have been farmed organically since 1987, long before organic products were widely available in America. The inspiration for farming this way was simple: organic grapes produce the purest expressions of the varietals and land on which they are farmed. At Bonterra, we have a deep respect for the environment. Organic farming and regenerative practices enrich the biodiversity in our vineyards year after year.
