Used to be lovely - then they changed the recipe.

Used to be lovely - then they changed the recipe. The meatballs are now flavourless and are like biting into rubber.

Chunky firm yummy

Lovely. I enjoy the chunky 37% chicken balls sliced, then heated in the smooth, lightly spiced sauce. When longer homemade recipes will take too much effort, pop this on and enjoy the warmth.

Yuck..

Absolutely foul since the meat was changed. Tough, bland and genuinely horrible. Stay clear.

Even Fray Bentos is Better

I have special needs and so my diet is quiet restricted. I used to LOVE Tesco meatballs, but the change from pork/bacon to chicken is... not good. The sauce is thin and relatively flavourless, and no matter what you do the meatballs are tough and nowhere near as tasty. It isn't exactly 'childhood ruined' levels of disappointment, but to have such a fantastic-tasting staple turned into something only technically edible is a massive disappointment for me. Even Fray Bentos' meatballs, which I always held to be cheap and nasty when compared to the original style, now taste better by comparison.

these are truly awful and I always buy a couple of months supply, I am now stuck with about 30 tins of unusable muck that even the dog will not eat, very, very disappointed, loved the old recipe, why the lower quality now ?

Will no longer be buying

My family and I used to love these and eat them regularly but now they have no taste to them and the texture has changed. I don’t know why they had to change the recipe.

What has happened!

Meatball texture is horrid with an unpleasant after-taste. Sauce is bland. Won't buy again.
