Preparation and Usage
Can be used to descale kettles, irons and coffee makersDirections:For Kettles and Coffee Makers: Add 1/2 litre to your kettle or water compartment of your coffee maker. Bring to the boil and unplug. Place the descaler tablet into the device - take care not to splash. The descaler will foam, do not allow foam to overflow from the device. Leave to stand for 5-10 minutes.After descaling, refill the kettle with fresh clean water 2-3 times and boil, pouring away the boiled water each time.For Appliances which hold less than 1 litre and Irons: Mix the solution in your kettle as above and leave to cool for a few minutes. Now pour the solution into the iron and leave to stand for a further 5-10 minutes, pouring away the solution and rinsing 3-4 times with clean water to remove any residue.For Shower Heads and other descaling: Mix the solution in your kettle as above and leave to cool for a few minutes. Now transfer the solution to a heat proof jug or container which is big enough to fully submerge the items to be descaled. It is recommended to dismantle shower heads prior to descaling if possible. Leave the items in the descaler for up to 6 hours (depending upon the level of scale to clean). Stubborn deposits may need light scrubbing.Do Not Leave Any Appliance Unattended During Descaling. Do not use for enamel or zinc coated appliances, with the exception of appliances that have acid resistant enamel. Always consult the appliances instruction manual, some kettle surfaces are not suitable for descaling. Never use more than one tablet at a time.
