My fingers are nicer+
Could make better chips out of my fingers. Clearly fixed reviews or perhaps mad as a sack of potatoes (which would be helpful in this product)
Don't taste like they used to
These used to be simply "McCain Straight Cut Oven Chips" but they've had a rebrand and daftly renamed "Naked Chips." McCain also used to advertise the fact they used Maris Piper potatoes and they tasted delicious. This claim was dropped a couple of years ago and you could tell. Suddenly they tasted cheap and nasty. Their cost saving change to cheaper potatoes has ruined the taste of these. Please bring them back - I wouldn't mind paying extra!
Best oven chips I have had so far,
These were decent, I always do mine in the deep fryer. I've no idea why folks do them in the oven, ridiculously expensive (electric costs) and time consuming turning chips over, just plain daft. Deep fry them, they're delicious!
OMG SOOOO TASTY! I have gluten intolerance issues but never considered oven chips being an issue. I bought these due to the price for the large bag (excellent value) and these taste sooo fresh, very fluffy texture and perfectly crispy . Makes you wonder what is put in the regular chips that often tatse slightly stale in my opinion! Will definitely buy these again
I have never been an oven chip lover, always preferring fresh. With my grandson coming to stay I thought I would get some as he loves them. Checked the makes out as didn't want too much grease. After buying these I am a convert and always have a bag in the freezer. I found them the nearest thing to fresh. Recommend.
These are tasteless now. The old Home Chips were much nicer. I won't be buying these again.
Not cardboard, just very tasty oven chips.
We like these a lot. Great chips, great taste but something that we're struggling to understand is how exactly the taste can be compared to cardboard! To the best of our knowledge, cardboard isn't a foodstuff and that means that either the comparison is as irrelevant as those who make it, or that they actually eat cardboard and have no concept of the potato. I've looked through the Tesco list of potatoes, pasta, rice and other carbohydrate sources and couldn't see cardboard anywhere. Most strange. Meanwhile, we shall carry on eating chips and give the cardboard a miss thanks!
Extremely muchable for this type for a easy meal anytime of the day when Ur feeling peckish
