Product Description

  • Fermented oat product, Greek style, with added vitamins and minerals.
  • So if we wanted to incorporate geography into the name of this product, why not Oatgurt Landskrona Style? It would have been more logical, since this product was both invented and manufactured in Landskrona, Sweden. And even though this amazing stuff is used in the same way as Greek yogurt, it is far from Greek yogurt — theoretically, even further from the yogurt part than from the Greek part, since it is completely free of dairy, while the Greek city of Thessaloniki is only 2,399 kilometres from our factory in Landskrona. Of course all of this is really, really far off from what we are here to tell you about on this webpage which is that Oatgurt Greek Style has a thick, smooth and creamy texture combined with a fresh and pleasantly sour flavour. Not to brag, but this is among the best* products we have ever created, if not the best webpage copy.
  • WHATS AMAZING
  • You might call this product a kitchen workhorse, if you like to speak in metaphors. Hot recipes, cold recipes, room-temp recipes (also called snacks), whatever you got, it’s ready to make it all really great. Other nice things are the calcium, iodine, Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D2 and the fact that the 10% fat comes from rapeseed oil which is high in unsaturated fat — you know, the good kind.* Another bit of amazingness we should mention is that the container can be recycled as paper (the same as TetraPak), so if you are making a “why should I try this stuff” list, you can check the sustainability box, too.
  • WHAT MIGHT BE LESS AMAZING
  • At first I, web-writer person, wrote “nothing" here but then I realised it may seem a bit less amazing that the list of ingredients is quite long. So I talked to Sofia, our innovations director, and she let me know that yes, some of the ingredients are difficult to pronounce but that doesn’t mean they are artificial or bad or whatever. They’re all on the list, and in the product, for a reason. Without potato starch and pectin, for example, Oatgurt Greek would not have its creamy texture, and I would have something really less amazing to write about here.
  • LAST BUT NOT LEAST
  • Stir before enjoying, okay? Also, keep it in the fridge. An opened package lasts at least five days. Unopened, let the date stamp be your guide. What really matters is smelling, looking and tasting. Insider tip: If it’s stored properly in the fridge it often lasts longer than the best-before date, so you’re good.
  • * All our other products are also among the best we have ever created, but still.
  • * This product is rich in unsaturated fat. Replacing saturated fat in the diet with unsaturated fat helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels.

So good. I eat it with fresh or dried fruit. LOVE it. Only negative is, it should be 500g.

This is the most disgusting dairy free alternative

This is the most disgusting dairy free alternative yogurt I have ever tasted. It tastes like oil.

I really like this yogurt - specifically for cooki

A Tesco Customer1st April 2022

I really like this yogurt - specifically for cooking (it's the only vegan yogurt I've found thats great for things like tzatziki) but I would like it if it didn't contain rapeseed oil which just seems like an unnecessary unhealthy ingredient for something that should be healthy seeing as its main ingredient is oats. It also needs some live cultures!!!

Decent, but dairy free reviews are subjective!

A Tesco Customer12th February 2022

It was very thick and creamy, definitely needed a good stir before use. I think it's a decent yoghurt alternative, but as someone else suggested, add some live cultures. I would also prefer the tub to be a minimum of 500g. Personally, I would not eat a bowl full of it, even topped with fruit, it's just not my thing as I was never a fan of plain yoghurt. However, I found it useful when baking banana bread, a chocolate cake and yoghurt flatbreads. It also worked well as a sour cream alternative for my vegan tacos.

Absolutely love it!!! Taste like sour cream so goo

Absolutely love it!!! Taste like sour cream so good for the stomach it is out of stock a while but really hope it's coming back soon I haven used it for so many dishes or just ate with bread.

Vile, oily taste

1 stars

A Tesco Customer21st September 2021

I love Oatly Oat Drink but this was vile. Had a horrible oily taste, left my portion in my bowl and threw it away; my husband said he will eat the rest of the tub, but he's not tried it yet.

Has no live cultures in it

1 stars

A Tesco Customer9UK August 2021

Has no live cultures in it so it’s not a yogurt. A lot of the benefit of traditional yogurt comes from these and this product doesn’t have any so is somewhat misleading as an alternative. Its more of a refined porridge.

A Rare Oatly Fail

1 stars

A Tesco Customer22nd May 2021

Love Oatly milk and other products but did not like this at all. I agree with others who say it has an odd, unpleasant taste. I poured some honey into the tub but it was still unpalatable. The strawberry version is delicious.

I like it.

A Tesco Customer22nd April 2021

I add jam, tinned fruit or have it alongside the strawberry/ blueberry flavour Oatly yogurt. It's also nice with soya yogurt and jam etc.
